First Workshop of the Forum for Information Retrieval Evaluation (FIRE 2008)

The aim of FIRE is to encourage research in Indian language Information Access by providing an objective, quantitative evaluation framework that includes benchmark data as well as a common forum for comparing models and techniques. FIRE follows the tradition established by TREC, CLEF, and NTCIR.

Registration for the first FIRE Workshop is now open. The workshop will feature talks by leading researchers in the area of Information Retrieval, along side presentations by the participating research groups that took part in the first FIRE evaluation effort.
